For more than 15 years, IPS e.max® CAD has impressed dentists around the world and is the world’s best-selling glass ceramic thanks to its clinically proven properties. In addition to high aesthetics and durability, the material is characterised by efficiency. And now IPS e.max CAD has become even faster. With the Programat® CS6 combination furnace, IPS e.max CAD restorations can be crystallised in just 11:10 minutes. This is simply done by applying spray glaze or the self-glaze (polishing) technique on the ‘blue’ restorations and then the IPS e.max CAD single-tooth restorations can be crystallised in a single step in the Programat CS6.

Since its introduction in 2005, IPS e.max CAD has revolutionised the dental market. In the meantime, the legendary blue block has become the lithium disilicate material that dentists trust. IPS e.max CAD restorations impress with their highly aesthetic properties and a 97.2% survival rate over 10 years1.

A high flexural strength of 530 MPa2 and a fracture toughness of 2.11 MPa · m½ 3 give the material its exceptional durability. It covers a wide range of applications, extending from thin veneers, crowns, inlays, onlays and hybrid abutment crowns7-9 through to three-unit bridges up to the second premolar as the terminal abutment. Restorations made of the high-strength CAD/CAM chairside material can be cemented adhesively, self-adhesively or even conventionally.

The 10-year guarantee given on IPS e.max restorations provides additional peace of mind. Besides its reliability4-6, the material now offers even faster crystallisation times. In conjunction with the Programat CS6 furnace, IPS e.max CAD lithium disilicate restorations can now be crystallised and glazed in just 11:10 minutes – made possible by the innovative technology built into the firing chamber of the furnace.

In addition, the Programat CS6 provides efficient sintering of restorations made of IPS e.max ZirCAD zirconium oxide. The furnace is designed as an open system and features proprietary vacuum technology that accelerates the sintering process of zirconia restorations, such as IPS e.max ZirCAD, and delivers highly aesthetic results.

Ivoclar offers products for every step of the clinical workflow, starting with Ivoclar Smile for the initial consultation through to OptraGate® for relative isolation, IPS e.max CAD, Programat CS6 and cementation with Variolink® Esthetic. All the products are designed to perfectly meet the requirements of everyday clinical procedures.
